Handwritten list.. The impact

Recently, in office I almost follow my to-do list and plan for the day. Though i'm not able to fully complete my plan, it helps me a lot. I at least know which tasks are eating up my time etc. I have tried applications like one note, excel and todoist few other applications ON and OFF. But some how I'm not successful in planning and executing via these apps.. and ofcourse this is an issue with me :P  Then finally I started to follow the pen and paper model and I feel the satisfaction in this practice. Now I have decided that best suited for me is Pen and Paper :) Next my progressive step is planning on the personal front for a week and month. Most of my items in the post-it are small tasks or jobs that we do as routine and not necessary to list them down. I feel just that writing it down makes the job much more easier, especially when it comes to the question of what to cook now ????? OMG, many a times I feel this question as a tough one. Suffering from Migraine? Simple breathing practice comes as effective remedy I have been suffering from migraine i.e one sided headache with high sensitivity to sound, light, smell along with nausea. This suffering is from the past 6 years though. It would last for 2 to 3 days for me. This drink or kashayam is wonderfull home remedy for cold, running nose, cough and fever from our kitchen shelves Suffering from cold or running nose or cough or fever because of cold, this kashayam will do wonder by drinking 3 or 4 times a day. This kashayam does wonders for both adults and kids too. This always works for my family and stops us from running to hospital. Ingredients  Turmeric powder - 2 tea spoon or fresh turmeric - 2inch Cloves - 12 nos Cinnamon - 2inch Pepper - 10 nos Fresh ginger - 2inch or dry ginger - 2inch Jeera - 1 tea spoon (Optional) Beetal leaf - 2 nos Fresh Tulsi leaves - 15 nos (handful) karpooravali leaf (Optional) - 1 Note: If you are preparing this kashayam for kids or infants you can add some brown sugar or jaggery to subside spiciness of this drink. Nutmeg or Jathikkai - Remedy for pimples Recent days I have got and getting lot of pimples on my face which is due to my frequent travels. So my cousin suggested me to use Jathikkai as we call in tamil,  which is commonly known as Nutmeg. It is seriously started doing magic on my face. So I couldn't with hold this post about benefits of Jathikkai | nutmeg, until I get to see my complete result. So I started using this Jathikkai or nutmeg paste to my face and after two week of continuous apply, I'm seeing lot of improvement in my face. Include celery leaves and stalk. Wash and peal the outer skin of cucumber and cut into pieces. Put them together in blender add a 1 glass of water and blend it smoothly. Periya Nellikai Oorugai | Amla pickle

Indian gooseberries have two varieties, once is small called nellikai or chinna nellikai and the other is big. This big one is called Amla in Hindi and Periya nellikai in Tamil. Both nellikai are rich in vitamin C which is very essential in building our immune system and its health benefits are amazing. As I'm a pickle freek I love to make my own pickle. This is the first attempt I tried Amla or Periya Nellikai pickle and it turned yummy. This is one of easiest pickle recipe. Time consumed for me is just under 30 minutes. Here is the step by step procedure. Ingredients Amala 15 Nos Gingelly oil 1 cup Roasted fenugreek powder  2 tbsp Chilly Powder 2 tbsp Salt as required Mustard 1 tbsp  Fresh Curry Leaves  1 hand full Garlic cloves - 10 Nos Asafoetida - 1/2 tea spoon Procedure Hand pick good quality and fresh amlas or periya nellikai. Wash them nicely in running water and give them a pat dry. Steam cook the amlas / periya nellikai for 10 mins. I use

Kothamalli Coffee | Sukku Coffee | Sukku Malli Coffee

This Kothamalli Coffee or Sukku Coffee or Sukku Malli Coffee is my all time favorite. My regular routine day starts with this. I have this powder ready. Generally I make it once a month and store it. It gives you very good relief when you cold, flu, head ache. Coriander is called Kothamalli and Dry ginger is called Sukku in tamil. So this coffee we call it as Kothamalli coffee or Sukku malli coffee.  All the ingredients in this has their own medicinal benefits. Expecialy Plam Jaggery is way better than our white sugar on the health benefits side.   Coffee Powder Preparation Ingredients 100g coriander seeds Dry ginger -  2 inch. Black pepper - 1 tbs Preparation  In a dry pan on a low flame, dry roast coriander seeds and pepper until the aroma start coming nicely and the seeds will slowly turn into brown color.  Keep stirring the seeds, other wise one side will get burnt easily and the aroma won't be so great. Tomato pickle or Tomato Thokku

Tomato Pickle Tomato dishes is my all time favorite. My mom makes this amazing tomato pickle. This is her recipe. Last time when I'm in native we harvested lots of native variety tomato from our farm. I can't express the amazing taste of it straight from farm.  After seeing lot of fresh tomatoes, I immediately made plans to make pickle by self with mom overseeing it. It goes well with hot rice, idly, dosa, upma, chappati, curd rice etc. Our family eat this thokku with almost everything in all my meals   Ingredients Tomato - 3kg Gingly oil - 0.5 ltr Fresh curry leaves - one handful  Tamarind - 1 lemon size Fenugreek - 3 table spoon Chilli powder - as per taste. I used 6 table spoon. Turmeric powder - 1tea spoon Salt as per taste Mustard - 3 table spoon Garlic - 3 whole pods (Optional) Ginger - small finger length (Optional)   Preparation Wash tomatoes in running water and let it dry completely. I spread tomatoes on a cotton cloth a
